Harry te Riele
Harry R.M. te Riele (MSc, born 1960) is a graduate of Delft University of Technology, Faculty of Product Design. Prior to the university of Rotterdam Harry has worked for eight years as an independent consultant in the field of innovation and sustainability under the label Storrm CS. This followed his working as a project manager at TNO Industry (applied scientific research) and at the Twynstra Group (management consulting).
He is keen on work relating to innovation and complex societal systems, and has worked for a variety of Dutch ministries, the European Commission, United Nations, not-for-profit organizations, intermediaries and innovation bodies, universities & high-level knowledge institutes, large companies and an agricultural board.
Within DRIFT he acts among the strategic consultants, in co-operation with junior and senior researchers throughout the KSI network, acting frequently as a session moderator, project manager and co-producer.
Harry has given guest lectures at the Agricultural university of Bogor (Indonesia) and in the Netherlands at the University of Tilburg (section environment & economy), Free University of Amsterdam, Agricultural University of Wageningen, Delft University of Technology (faculty Product Design), and the University of Amsterdam. He has moderated the workshop week at the Lorentzcenter on computational and mathematical approaches to societal transitions.
With his early work Harry has won several prizes, amongst others a prestigious German IF Award.
