Saartje Sondeijker
Saartje Sondeijker obtained her Master of Science degree at the University of Tilburg (UvT), where she followed her academic study Policy- and Organisational Sciences.
This interdisciplinairy study with a strong focus on societal complexity and dynamics in organisational networks resulted in a final thesis on the design of policy games. Through out her thesis project she was involved in the development of a policy game within the Institute for Social – and Policy Scientific Research (IVA).
During this internship she first came in contact with systems analysis and scenario development. This societal and participative engagement in combination with the academic background fostered an intense fascination for gaining more insight into societal transitions and the methodology of scenario development.
In her PhD-research she worked on a methodology for the development of transition scenarios. In this project, carried out by DRIFT and TNO, she gained a deep understanding on the content- and process related aspects of transition scenarios with a view to facilitating transition management processes.
In December 2009 Saartje Sondeijker successfully defended her doctoral dissertation as the youngest PhD graduate of Jan Rotmans.
Saartje works as a consultant at DHV in Amersfoort.
