Katinka Wijsman
Katinka Wijsman studied Political Science at the University of Amsterdam and graduated with honours in 2010. During her studies she explored a range of issues including ones related to gender and international development – often in relation to (environmental) sustainability – and has showed an interest in philosophy of science, resulting in a thesis titled: Food and Feminism: how the feminist tradition helped to shape the academic study of food.
Currently she is writing her thesis for a second MSc Program, Industrial Ecology (TU Delft and Leiden University) at DRIFT. A number of her interests include (urban) agriculture, food consumption, and democratic legitimacy.
Outside academia she is active in the Green Party and the Youth Food Movement.
She joined Drift in September 2010.
